When it comes to finding keywords in the media, it's like running a Google search over TV, radio, and the web. Keyword tracking looks for the particular searched text in Closed Captioning (TV), voice-to-text technology databases (radio), and over millions of online sources worldwide (web). YouTube and podcast broadcasts can be searched using a combination of online text, tags, and voice-to-text database searches. If it's out there, we'll find it.
Google, Bing, or any other web search engine is limited by its own algorithms. Each will pull up only what it 'thinks' is a best result, according to the particular user's habits. On the flip side, our system isn't tied to any behind the scenes search history. We're able to look through an entire internal database, which is gathering data up to the minute it’s published. Our sophisticated boolean search strings will also make sure the returns are relevant to what you need. (We know... we had you at "boolean search strings.")
Spot tracking is used for Public Service Announcements (PSAs), promo spots, or any other type of media creative that's pitched to TV and radio stations to air at their discretion. We're able to generate reporting data that returns the airing details as well as Nielsen Media Research audiences, ad values, and age demographics. PSA spot tracking technology returns a more accurate and detailed occurrence of the airings, giving you a closer look at your audience.
This is a hard NO, and it’s often a huge piece of the puzzle that's left out by the salesperson selling you on the platform. Just like anything else, you need the right tool for the right job. (i.e.: you can't successfully track a PSA using a keyword tracking system.) Some platforms are amazing for TV, but not so much for social media.
